Riding the Bristol Slab

Morning all,

I drive past the big slab half way down the A4 (avon gorge) once in a while and every time I think about riding down the thing. Has anyone done it? Got any tips on how to get access to the top?

    Access from the bottom is behind a metal fence that looks pretty secure. There is a video somewhere on BR. I'd guess you would ride through Leigh Woods to get to the top.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Yeh seen vids of Ashton and Hawyes doing it ages back, But not suer i see the point of riding it myself. looks to slippery when wet for my taste :p

    Thanks for the info. Just one of those things I've got into my head. Might give a miss though if its been raining :shock:

    Hope you can get out at the bottom! Dont really want to climb back up the thing.
