Saw some fella up ahead of me on a Boris Bike this morning, carrying something odd...got closer and realised it was a full-on TT/Tri bike, he was skinsuited and everything, bike had Zipps and all sorts going on, think he'd flatted and not been able to fix? Miserable $od didn't even say hello when I pulled up next to him, obviously too much of a serious cyclist to talk to the likes of me.

Mind you, if he was that serious, he'd know how to fix a p**cture  .

It's just a hill. Get over it.

Or maybe it had tubular tyres and didn't have anything to change it?

I think that's quite a good idea! We should have boris bikes at strategic places along our TT circuits...

As for the hello, well, you get that with all walks of life. I saw a person stranded at the side of the road with their broken down car waiting for the AA, I said hello but they just seemed pi55ed off.
  • If my bike was so shagged that I had to hire another and carry it on my back I don't think I'd be too friendly on the old 'hello' front either!
Has the head wind picked up or the tail wind dropped off???
