Hi all,
Is there anyone who has tried 120mm forks on their Boardman hardtail? If so I'd like to hear your opinions on how it feels.
I have a Boardman HT frame built as rigid MTB that I use for commuting and occasional off-road riding in the local woods.
I've entered a few races this year and would like to use the boardman as its much lighter than my normal do it all hardcore hardtail. I was thinking of temporarily putting my u-turn Revs on the boardman with the forks set at their lowest travel of 120mm but not sure what it will feel like as the bike is designed around a 100mm fork.

yeah the ideal fork is prob a reba or a sid but I have a rev on the the other bike and its just a temp measure to get me through a few races. not sure I want to spend £300 buying a new fork for a few races?0

Why not swap the Revs onto the Boardman and see how it feels? It's not a big job and at least that way you'll know if it works for you...0

I bought a second hand Boardman HT with 130mm Recons on it. No problems for me and absolutely love it. Seems I've got a bargain.0

OK sounds like putting the 120 Revs as a temp measure should work out ok then. Cool might try swapping the forks over at the week end. thanks all ...0
