Budget Glasses Reccomendations...

Got something in my eye whilst cycling last week - wasnt bad in the end, but had to listen to the mrs doing her "I told you so" routine.
think it's probably about time to elevate cycling glasses from the "nice to have" list to the "essential kit" one.
A colleague has suggested some cheap eye protectors from screwfix (he's been using them for years) - Ive also noticed a load of clear safety glasses on ebay for less than a tenner.
I just want something cheap & comfortable. Any reccomendations?
Thanks

Yepp, I think they are very good too. The only downside is that they can get a bit steamed up but I just use some antifog solution on damp days. £7 for some great glasses that look the part and if you drop/break them, who cares at that price.0 -
Great - thanks.
Will pick a pair up.
Cheers

A friend is also using cheap glasses from screw fix and they look pretty good for the money. Think I'm going to get the same pair!0 -

They may be a little out of budget but i picked up a pair of Oakley Bottlecap on offer at £35 down from £95. Absolute steal and good service to boot.

Bolle safety glasses, you can get them for £5, look ok, do the job. You'll pay a premium for 'cycling' glasses.0

Or real bargain basement ones :

Noted that these are termed 'sporty' as opposed to sports or cycling specific but worth a try ?0 -

No question I'd get these, I've had so many glasses over the years and not only are oakleys lenses great but the glasses are very durable and seem to last forever.
I get a new pair every 2 years and I've got 4 pairs still going strong.
£35 for oakleys is fantastic value.0 -
These are brilliant for 4 quid, not available on any cycling web sites but great style, and they're good quality:
