Hi my mate and I was out on sat when a large rock clouted his 2010 wyhte just above the btm bracket, taking a slither of what could be carbon(not sure could be like a lacquer/resin), it is around 2.5" by 1" by the depth of a ten pence. What is the best opnion for him, are there companies who can repair/advise on damage, or would it best to send back to wyhte for advise.

any advise would be great

Cheers Tony.

A good picture is worth a thousand words.
An additional benefit for you, is pictures do not require sentence structure, spelling or punctuation!
Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?

If its just the matrix material (aka 'resin') then its OK, if its damaged the carbon fibres, then it depends on how many layers of fibre are damaged, if just one, then he's probably OK, more than 1, then probably not.

    A picture speaks a 1000 words!
