Avid Elixir 5 leak?

Firstly thanks to everyone for tips on bleeding my brakes. Sorted! Well I thought so until today.
The front was fine but after a few brakes I had to pull the lever further and further back to bite. I presume this means there is a leak? I used some of that white tape thingy that is used in radiators and that seemed to help but it is still not right.
If it is a leak how do I locate it then plug it?
Thanks again

does the lever pump up?
there should be no need for any PTFE tape and that may actually cause problems."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The lever pulls in towards the bar if thats what you mean? It just seems to be getting closer and closer during the ride?0
