I've had my specialized allez sport for a few months now and have mondo tyres on it. Im getting plagued with punctures! Im looking for advice on what to replace them with. Mainly using bike at moment for commuting to work on roads and cycle paths.
Thanks

You'll get a bunch of different answers, but i've found Conti Gatorskins and Specialized Armadillos very good on the gravel-strewn B-roads round here. I run 700x25 rather than x23 and keep them pumped up, and (touching wood, crossing myself and praying to the p*ncture fairy) haven't had a flat in nearly 4000 miles.0

+1 for the Armadillo's - for the type of cycling you are doing they are perfect.0

gatorskins have been fantastic all winter for meDeath or Glory- Just another Story0

I've used both gatorskins and armadillos and they're both very puncture resistant. However, on another part of this forum, my gators were construed as being not too clever, but i'm hoping they were being judged from a sexyness point of view rather than a practical one. I'll keep using them on my commuter and my bestest bike 'till someone can convince me otherwise.....0

I have found both my Continental GP4000S and GP 4Seasons to be quite good, maybe the 4000S (just) edges it, which is a bit of a surprise.- - - - - - - - - -

Some tyres come with puncture resistant belting or similar, but you might want to try a pair of Slime tyre liners.0

Here's what I run:
Cayo Pro - Grand Prix 4000s - 700x23 - Best bike, Weekends and sunshine only
Mares AX 1.0 = Schwalbe Marathon - 700x28 - WInter hack/commuting
Langster Steel - Schwalbe Durano+ - 700 x 25 - Commuting0 -
..Armadillos on the hybrid for 3 years now and no punc**res!!0

I used Rubino Pro 3's on both my bikes up until recent, for 2.5 years, and have never once had a Punc**re. Really nice tyres, and cheap @ about £18 each. Only reason I have swapped it went higer end with Pave's on winter, and open tubs on summer. If I get punctures with these alot, I will be going back to the Rubino's0

I found the armadilos fighteningly low on grip. The schwalbe marathons had much better grip - used them both on a stiff mtb with road tyres - commuter/hack/pub bike.0

I've used, with good results, Conti GP4000S & Vittoria Rubino Pro.0
