Shoe catching on rear gear cable... collar?

A picture says a thousand words...
Obviously this is the upside down - the shoe is catching it on the 'up' stroke. It's also the second time this has happened.
For the time being I've bent it back into shape, but I'm worried continued bending like this will fatigue it and it'll snap. What's the best way to stop it from happening? Cleats with less float? Stop being such a spastic?

many possibilities, unless you really need to pedal heel-in, too much float and/or wrong cleat angle and/or cleats too far out on shoe and/or pedal axles too short
as a quick fix, if you put a nylon tie (or two) around it then at least it should prevent the shoe catching on the edgemy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
as well as trying less float/angle- maybe try moving the cleats back a bit on your shoe so you toe moves slightly forward and hopefully your heel moves away from the frame.
+1 for something like a couple of cable ties so you cant catch the edge.Death or Glory- Just another Story0 -
Q Factor is too low. Have a read about Q Factor on the internet and get some pedals/cleats with variable Q factor so that it can be increased, like Time.0
