“Road racing was over and the UCI had banned my riding positions on the track, so it was like ‘Jings, crivvens, help ma Boab, what do I do now? I know, I’ll go away and be depressed for 10 years’.”

    f**k thats terrible.

used to ride on circuit at the same time as him.

strong man..... very sad to see this news

I think he underachieved in a "difficult era" but who knows?

all the best to his closest in this time

There is a tribute page on the planet x website:

Unfortunately events like these are becoming too common these days

He fitted me for my 1st road bike: Planet X SL Carbon.

He tried to get me to spend a little more on a Ti frame and dura ace.... In retrospect he was right as I ended up with a Ti. Let me have a play on some of the bikes, and gave me some great advice.

Top bloke, and had all the time in the world to help me. Friendly, and genuine.

    Shocking.
