I recently replaced the battery in my cadence sensor for my Garmin 705. The lights are flashing corresponding to revolutions of the magnet on the crank but no registration on the screen?

Its like the pairing is no longer working. Has anyone else experienced similar and if so hw did you fix it?

Cheers

    Have you tried re-pairing them?

No, I re-scan but no results. Any idea how to re-pair?

    Copied from a garmin forum.

    1. Press Menu to access the Main Menu
    2. Select Settings
    3. Select ANT+ Sport
    4. Select Accessories
    5. Press the Reset button on your GSC 10 (the white button)
    6. Wait for the Reset button to flash red/green
    7. Select Yes under Cadence Sensor Present?
    8. Select Restart Scan to rescan for your device
    9. Pedal your bike to see alternating red/green blinks on the GSC 10 reset button
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Many thanks Redvee.

I followed this sequence and got the affirming bleep and on screen message to confirm cadence sensor detected. I presume when you replace the battery youve got to pair again.

I think it depends how long the battery is out. I know that some garmin users cure problems by forcing a re-pair. They do this by taking the battery out, putting it in the wrong way round for a few seconds and then putting it back in the right way. I think this forces the gsc-10 to generate a new pairing ID. Maybe sometimes a new battery will make it generate a new ID.

To re-pair the hrm and cadence sensors, just make sure they are within range and re-pair.

I've done this several times since I lost my hrm and borrowed my wife's.
