Newbury to Portsmouth

Hi All,

Can anyone give me a good route cycling from Newbury to Portsmouth, avoiding motorways? I'm keen to avoid traffic, and will be on a road bike.

    If you don't mind a few bumps have a look at the route for last years Magnificat; that'll take you as far as Winchester.

    I did do Ringwood -> Newbury some years back and didn't struggle with routes at all. From memory there's a plethora of great routes and you shouldn't have any difficulty.

    There's a cyclelane on some of the A34 :shock: No, I wouldn't ride it either.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
