This is my first post and I'm after some advice, as I'm looking to purchase my first road bike.

I'm saved up £1300 and would like to buy a road bike. For some reason, I've got in my mind that I'd like a carbon fibre frame with maybe 105 groupset. However my issue is that I'm 6'5 tall with a 37" inside leg. I'm not sure where to look. I have had a look at Ribble Cycles, but there were that many different option and I didn't know if there frames were big enough for me.

Any advice or tips would be great.

First road bike? Don't buy over the net, at least not before you've tried a few bikes in the flesh. Spend a day visiting all the local bike shops to see what they have to offer and what feels comfortable.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.

Sound advice, you need to try a few bikes for size, see what you like and don't. Find a good bike shop where they will provide a good fitting service. Then get bike you like, ride and enjoy. Oh and welcome.

I happen to know where there's a 6 month old Colnago Ace (with Veloce not 105) going for a bit less than your budget  It's size 56 which equates to a 60 in standard geometry frames and comes with 100 and 130mm stems and the original unused colnago T111 tyres, Crud RoadRacer 2s and a wireless CatEye Strada thrown in....
