Ultegra Groupset SRAM Apex Chainset - Will it work ok?

3 months ago I bought my first new bike. I thought it was perfect but... Mongoose 350 Crossway... I want a new bike again :[. I mean its ok for commuting to work 5 times a week 25km both ways, but still not good enough. I already invested some got a new front wheel and front brake and decent tires, but I wanted to change drivetrain as well, next year I can get new frame;]. I was looking on Chain Reaction and set of:
Rear deliveour
Casette
Chain
Front deliveour
Chainset
Bottom bracket
Shifters

SRAM Apex £403
105 £394
Ultegra £483

Worth notice is that Chainset of Apex, 105 and Ultegra is £80, £120 and £176

so:

Ultegra + Apex chainset £387

Does any of you tried using Ultegra on others chainstes?

One more thing I like to ask. I bought my bike in UK does bottom bracket need to have English or Italian thread?

Does Shimano R770 10 Speed Flat Bar Shifters works with Ultegra?

Generally chainsets don't cause intercompatibility issues - mix and match as you please

Only Italian exotica comes with Italian threads these days.

R770 shifter are designed for Shimano 10 speed road gears
