On one Whippet

Called into the on one show room yesterday to have a look at a whippet. Lovely looking bike but was surprised how much it weighed. Glad I managed to get a look before forking out a grand on it as I would have been really disappointed. Very impressive show room and helpful, if somewhat busy staff. The 456 next to it was an awesome looking bike and much lighter, but not sure if I could justify the extra £300 tho

    The staff can't have been that fantastic, if they somehow convinced you that a bike with a 5lb frame and long forks is lighter than a 3lb frame with shorter forks.

    Given the frames cost the same it sounds like you're just comparing a higher specced 456 to a lower specced Whippet.
