Swapping Shimano 505 Disc Brakes for Avid BB5 MTB Brakes

I was recently offered a pair of brand new boxed Avid BB5 brakes with another two pairs of Clarks branded brake pads. I currently have shimano 505 brakes and shimano 105 5600 shifters on my bike, I just wondered would I be able to get these Avid Brakes to work with my 105 levers or is the cable pull required too great.

    if they are the BB% MTB then sell them on they will not work.

    but if they are BB5 road then yes they will be fine.
