Bye Bye Faithless :(

One Man And His Bike
edited March 2011 in The bottom bracket
While it's been a while since they really did anything that for me rocked my world, when Aubrey Nunn left I kind of stopped being heavily into them as I was years back, it is still a sad event when they are closing the shop and calling it a day, but going out with a bang in only the way they can.

Still, 15 years owning the dance world, not an easy task and one that will take some effort to top. A live act that was epic live and in the studio, rare these days, very rare.

I was lucky enough to see them perform live twice and both times were shock and awe events I will never forget.

    About half an hour then?

One of my favourite dance tunes. Always makes me remember the good ol' days and also makes me spin my legs off when on the turbo.

God is a DJ - top track.

Their mix of chill-out tunes in the 'Back to Mine' series is outstanding.

I'd agree with that, particularly the three tracks you mention - all dance classics - the last two being two of the best ever. But they were (truly) brilliant only sporadically, and there was a lot of dull stuff

They are a little "marmite" but I love em, and was lucky enough to see them live at Alexander Palace. They've made a few duds but overall they've done bloody well to rule the dance world so long.

I went to see them in Manchester a few years back, amazing concert. Possibly the best i've been to, and i'm not typically a fan of dance music at all.

When listening at home I tend to only listen to about 5 songs of theirs, but live they were a different animal completely.

I'm listening to "If Loving You Is Wrong" atm.

    Interesting lyrics...

I must say I'm a sod for replaying albums over and over again.
