my cassette is stuck to the hub

I like that capreo.
A 9-36 would solve a lot of problems!
The hope seems a great idea, but alloy cassette? I will not even use alloy chainrings as they wear too fast. Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0 -
I'm not sure if that freehub body is retrofittable to existing shimano hubs - Sheldon seems to think it should, but some have tried it and didn't fit the same.
10 speed 9-36 would be the only reason I go to 10 speed ;-)0 -
I wouldn't mind, if it was cheap. It's not going to be cheap. But I really like the idea, like you say 9-36 or maybe 10-36 would be mint.
Also anything that helps break the near-monopoly of the Esses would be good- since both SRAM and Shimano have decided not to give us a 9-speed 11-36 just to try and get folks onto 10-speed, more competition would hopefully stop that sort of silly buggers.Uncompromising extremist0 -
Deore do a 12-36 - as you say, seemingly to push 10 speed advantages of 11-36, but you can fit an 11 speed sproket to it anyway. Weighs about 500g though lol.0

Monopoly? You're being paranoid again. The size of the smallest sprocket is limited by the cassette lockring, and therefore the freehub.0

Pay attention up the back, I'm talking about 11-36 which works perfectly on 9-speed. They've not even been subtle about it.Uncompromising extremist0 -
No, I refuse to take part in your paranoid delusions this time. Is there any bike related company that aren't after you?0
