Anyone think this architect might have been having a laff?

Hint....You might have to turn your head slightly to the right

This happened in my previous place of employment. Someone was drawing up options for the layout of a visitor centre. Unfortunately one design had to be binned on account of an unintended juxtaposition of a circular auditorium and a long curving wing of rooms opening off a corridor. IIRC the conversation went something like:

    "Err... why've you drawn a kn0b?"
    "Eh? I haven't! ... Oh."

    Bloody Hell!!!!

I have stayed there, only a few months back too!

Bedruthan Steps Hotel......Thats the posh spa bit (adults only hotel) - i believe that it has outdoor hot tubs looking over Mawgan Parth bay.

Recommend Bedruthan Steps if you have kids and need a break.....baby listening service, kids dining room and so on!

  • I wonder whether the architect has managed to produce any successful erections?

True story - My first year structures professor at architecture school used to explain bending moments by holding his tie straight out in front of him and saying something like "here I have a stiffening member..."

When working with steel structures for reuse there will be a dismantling sequence ( plan) . the one for rebuilding is called. yup "An Erection sequence" always gets a giggle from the 1st year apprentices
