Hi Guys, i'm near Kidlington / north Oxford, I ride a hard tail (and i'm very unfit from the winter)
would be good to meet up for a ride once I'm a bit fitter, has anything been arranged for a localish ride? would be good to do a trail further afield once i've got back up to speed, so to speak.0 -
We've a "novice friendly" ride this Saturday. About 14 miles long with some really fun sections. Full details:
http://www.mbswindon.co.uk/ridgeway-ride-april-2011/
"Novice friendly" means we expect the pace to be a little bit slower and we expect some people will be slower than others so there will be some waiting. That's the expectation so no-one complains. We also regroup frequently and no-one gets left behind.
There's always a really good atmosphere on these rides to the point that we get often get some very experienced riders coming on them just for that.
Am expecting a couple of people from Witney/Carterton direction already. My guide to navigating using the Garmin Edge 800

I live in Oxford and head to either Aston Hill, Shotover (small) or go out to the ridgeway. Got a book called "South East Mountain Biking - Rideway and Chilterns" that got a few rides in it that are good.
