  • Nice to see there's a fellow HMHB aficiando on the boards!
Caught the news earlier and immediately thought of the track.

With the possible exception of Half Man Half Biscuit's Back Again in the DHSS, most albums have a hefty dose of filler:

Genius like "Seal Clubbing" is well worth a bit of filler IMHO.

One of my most fun nights out is a HMHB gig.

What did god give us Nigel?.......

They just keep the quality up on all their albums. Far better than they're given credit for

I heard a story about HMHB that they were offered a bigger deal and gigs by a record company but would mean missing a Tranmere Rovers home game. The company said they would fly them in for the game by helicopter and back to fit it all in, but they refused as they said the stick they would get from their mates would be outrageous, so they gave up the deal.

Don't know how true it is, but if it is, its quality.
  • That might be an amalgam of the andecdote regarding HMHB's booked appearance on the tube, which conflicted with a Rovers home game, so they pulled out.

  • Bye bye Fred

At a HMHB gig in Bath (about 1985 ish) a certain memorable line was replaced with "ahhh, made it at last..."

I'm off to fetch the Subbuteo out of the loft
