Corratec or Specialized Carbon?

I am in the market for a new Carbon bike which I need to buy fairly rapid..
The choices are:
2010 Corratec Revolution Race Carbon , XTR groupset etc.
or
2011 Specialized Stumpjumper Carbon Comp
The Corratec sizing seems a bit odd, normally i go for a Medium/17.5 frame size but the corratec is a 49cm which is 19". I had a quick test spin and it seemed perfect! But i will try the 45cm model tomorrow which would be the more standard 17.5"
So I am a bit concerned with the frame sizes... And there is a £520 price difference to the Specialized.
So any advise to help sway my descision would be appreciated...(even though the price difference will probably swing it to the Corratec)

Best way to get the right frame size is to ignore the numbers, and see what feels best!
Have you tested the Specialized too?0 -
I'll test and compare the 45cm and 49cm tomorrow, Corratec sizing is a bit off I think..
I had a new Rockhopper last year and the Medium was fine, have just sat on the Stumpjumper in the shop which seems fine also..
The Corratec is a great deal for the money though... but the specialized is familiar and i know the M size frame works...0 -
This is the thing with sizing - there is no 'standard'. They can be measured in many different ways, and when you add in suspension and angles you often find you are different 'sizes' between brands. Or they may just not fit at all!
If the Corretec fits, it seems the way forward0 -
I will use the savings over the Specialized to buy a nice set of tubeless Stan's ZTR rims on Hope Pro2 Hubs i think0

The spesh is a good bike too, whats the warranty on Corratec? Spesh is lifetime on the carbon mainframe. I have ridden one (,and sell them for a living). I bought an Epic this year, but a Stumpy carbon is on the list for next year!0

Usually my LBS will cover any frame faults immediately if they have the same bike in stock, not sure what the manufactuer is offering, will have to check up on it..
Would have loved the Stumpjumper carbon, but the cost difference was too much to make it a viable option for me..0
