Hi Guys

I'm customizing my Matt Black Specialized Langster. Im going to accent it with the colour gold. I was wondering if:

Anyone could recommend a gold chain that would fit a fixie/single speed and be durable enough to take a daily commute with some hills thrown in?

Thanks!

KMC ti-nitride track chain - spendy though!
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • Good call. Like the chain. Like you said expensive though.

I really want gold, if I have to go expensive think I will at a push.

But going to keep looking to see if there is a cheaper alternative.

    thanks
  • I've got KMC on at the moment and its been great. Definitely like their stuff.
  • This one is cheap, anyone know if this would fit/work.

I used the KMC Z510 Gold 1/8 Chain chain.....

but I have 1/8" Chainring and Freewheel too. A Langster has a 3/32" drivetrain. A 1/8" chain will work but there will be play.

I think there is a relieved gusset gold 1/2 link chain that would be rather mental...

EDIT: gusset bling slink is £30 rrp in gold but awesome.
  • Hi Schweiz

    Nice photo. That looks awesome!

Think I'll have a look at that chain. I've upped my front ring, so play might not be there.

    Thank you for your post.

Got an Izumi ESH on my Pompino. It was about £30 and is brilliant. 1000 miles in and still looks new.

Likewise for my Tricross, got mine from CRC and had the pleasure of retrieving it from the post office cause they used one of their A4 sized boxes for a chain and piece of A4 paper.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
