Now the first thing I will say is RIP.

Surely you mean Kate Moss and Pete Docherty. Or Jordan and Andre ... or... oh, feck it, just realised they're talenless nothings.

I'm with OTBA about the eyes, she was a beauty in her day. Hopefully we'll get a season of her films. I loved Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe, but haven't seen it in years.

those people are famous for being nothings. Burton was the big deal in films and theatre. A genuine great actor and orator (and headline grabbing hellraiser with Peter O'Toole and Richard Harris)whilst she was a great looking actress who like Garland had risen from child star. Tie it in with (cue posh voice) London, the 60s,the Beatles and all that malarky and this was a golden couple who mixed with royalty etc. When he bought her the famous diamond that was real showbiz stuff (if any of that is real). She got lost in Hollywood esp. after Burton died but she left some good films to highlight her talent.

Today's "celebrities" can only dream of being a vague distant shadow of real talent with presence.

    R.I.P.

PS:- There is some talent out there today but they have the sense not to be tagged with "celebrity".
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

I love that film Cleopatra. The best line has to be Richard Burton:
"Infamy, Infamy, they've all got it in for me."

+1 This, also the recurring 'Frying tonight' joke.
