Blur LT2 rear shock

Right, the Monarch on the rear of my Blur is on its way out. After replacing the lower bush the other day i noticed slight discolouration on the shaft along with a faily juicy nick on there too.
Not overly worried about immediate failure but would like to replace as TF said they cant just replace the shaft as RS dont sell them. I can have the shock repaired but at the cost of nearly a new shock itself plus labour I mayaswell go for an upgrade.
Now do i go the rp23 route as its tried and tested or would a DHX air be a better option?

I have a Blur LT with RP23 - very happy. Not sure what you'd gain with a DHX air, other than a rather hardcore look.A Flock of Birds
