Yes yes... I know... this should possibly be in the rides section but we all know cruddites don't actually go outside on their bikes, preferring to sit indoors filling up BRs server in the 'catcher  They'd never go into the rides forum.

So Dalby or Cannock this weekend anyone? I'll be bringing some cameras and might put something together for the crudcast. I just need some filthy bums to record without girls screaming and running away like normal.

Hmm. Cannock, 20 minutes drive from my house...
Sadly I'm too old and slow to partake in anything where cameras are involved, so count me out. I will be at Cannock on Saturday afternoon for a ride though

Just a heads-up there is a demo day at Cannock this Saturday. Expect loads of Audis and middle-aged wannabes wobbling round on £4000 freeride bikes.

    Yes I'll be there :)

There were big queues last year but I think some lessons have been learnt and allegedly this year's route combines some Dog sections with fireroad bypasses, so the 40-mins-per-bike should be easily do-able.

If you are not looking for anything too specific you may not have to wait too long but be prepared to queue. Worth taking your pedals with you.

Ah, I recall they shortened the route at last year's demo day too. I do recall riding along some chap with an all carbon FS bike telling me, that as a family man he could never afford the £3.5K that this particular bike cost.

Perhaps I will delay my ride until Sunday....

I shall be heading up there sunday, and possibly also on saturday depending on if I'm hungover or not.

I shall be in Newport at a wedding, otherwise I'd have happily come and impressed with my incompetence

I cant make it... but if there is a demo day on it should make it perfect for filming interviews with random riders... maybe in the cues at the start of sections you could have random interviews with random riders....

could be funny as anything...

My camera isn't wide angle so it'll have to be one butt cheek at a time

Josh; a Q&A with middle management on the benefit, ideal terrain and intended use of a Trek Scratch, Spesh Enduro or Giant Reign would be hillarious... The Charley Brown music would have to go with it :D

Well, I'd go but it's 2hr+ for me so only if I've someone there to hold my hand. Pft, I'm not one of those loners who rides alone......

Well, Dalby is just as close.
Sheffield and the High Peaks is pretty similar.
Basically, I live in Newark. If I don't drive, I sit n watch top gear re-runs.....

Nah, It's the Dinorwig Quarry, above Llanberis. It's my playground, but due to it also being Wales' 3rd or 4th largest mountain (something like that, or maybe the third or 4th tallest in Snowdonia. Either way, it's pretty big) with a summit at 3031 feet, I hardly ever go all the way up.
When you do get all the way to the summit though, there's a sweet 2,700 descent right to lake Peris :D
I think it used to be the largest slate mine in the world, either it or the one in Bethesda.
