Morning, beautiful morning here (well where i live not work) get towards work and the smell of the retreatment plant hits you like a sledgehammer! something obviously wrong over there today! :evil:
Apart from the pedal/shoe issue last night, the ride was awesome, trails are drying out nicely and fast and grippy. this caused a few overshoots into corners as traveling too quickly for skills/lights etc.
today i will be putting my new crank on, Candy's on and weighing new to old obviously then a quick tart up then pack it away for sundays race.
But before all that i have a site visit at east london sixth form collage, which is both scary and big and so different to my little world.

Morning all.
Lovely sunny day outside Big Cheese Towers so for once find myself with a spring in my step, am looking forward to a quick day at work as I have a nice 10k ride tonight, it will be the first proper ride for a while, so am massively looking forward to it. Short but sweet, and at least the trails won't be full of slushy mud. My Larsen TTs don't like that at all.....
Am trying to keep the 'Meh-Gremlins' at bay today....0 -

its well nice in brizzle today, i have recently just started to wear jeans and a tee to work and this morning no coat was required.
me and the mrs-to-be found a house to rent last night, but we have to move in a month earlier than planned, cue financial strictness over the next few months!
The commuters gotta go though as i aint using it and i want to just use my roadie in and out of work!
How much do you think i would get for a 1998 Trek 920 Single Track with a brand new set of deore running gear and new cables, serviced and ready to go??

Another day of awesomeness today. Took a bit of a detour on the way into the office, so ended clocking up 14 miles rather than the normal 9. Can't wait for the ride home, its just a pity I need to be in the office today, otherwise I'd be out there riding...
Not too much planned for today as most of the finance stuff's done and dusted for another year.

well, today should be filled with meh, as the bottom of our 3 house move chain fell through yesterday. Numpty buyers mortgage wasn't approved because they'd been going by la-la land figures they'd been putting into the internet 'guide'.
Still sun's out, bike's in the car and Tunstall has dried out nicely. 8)Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

today i will be mostly sitting on my sofa trying not to move
it's a lovely day outside which is making me a bit sad, however 10mg of Oxycodone is quickly making that sadness wash away
pretty good prognosis from the surgeon at the hospital yesterday so i'm upbeat.
my bikes are just sat here though, which is quite hard to bear, especially given the fast approaching lighter nights and good weather.
anyone want to rent a bike for a few months?
i'm going to write a mini review today before i forget how the Shocker rides (if the concussion hasn't already wiped my memory!)

The sun's shining I am back off to Stoke after work to spend a night in my own bed.... bliss...

back is killing me today hardly slept a wink until about 6 this morning it was that bad, so had to take the day off work, I'm not driving trains in pain and with no sleep. Popping down to the docs later for an assesment, im pretty sure I've torn something.
The plus side of it is that I managed to source Mrs G a decent specced bike without spending a fortune, brand new as well............
260 notes for a small down from £450, last one they had on ebay and they they were charging £310 for all other sizes, so I snapped it up. She's not been notified yet, and I imagine she may not be over the moon that I went ahead and did it without her consultation, but whats done is done0 -
