can anyone recommend a decent maintenance book please?

I'm sick of fixing my brothers bike every time we go on a ride. He needs something simple with decent step by step pictures. He's just got into biking and he's loving it but its costing him a fortune as he keeps replacing things rather than a quick fettle. The LBS must be coining it in.

Too many bikes, not all fully built.
