Question time about brake levers

Just wondering if it's possible to mix and match brake levers with the rest of the brakes?
I'm meaning, I have Tektro Augria brakes on my bike at the moment. Can I replace the levers with a set of Shimano XTR ones like these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=61838 if the brake levers got damaged.

yes and no.
they use the same mineral oil but the piston ratios could well be well of giving either a lever that moved too much or a lever that does not move.
TBH just get a new brake set."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

but again Shimano say that their levers and calipers are interchangeable, so you could try and if it does not work ok just get any shimano caliper....."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
