Centre Lock Rotor to 6 Bolt Hub

My Anthem came with Shimano hubs and centre lock rotors. I want to switch my rear to a Hope on Mavic that I already have which is a 6 bolt set up.
I have just seem a diagram on Shimano's web site which suggests that I can simply bolt my existing rotor to the Hope hub, is this correct? I had assumed that I'd need to buy a new rotor...
Cheers, Paul.

a center lock adapter does the opposite."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Agreed, a centre lock adapater allows you to fit a 6-bolt disc to a CL hub, not the other way round!

And I don't suppose there is such a thing as a 6-Bolt adapter... :?XC: Giant Anthem X

yes lots that let you run a 6 bolt rotor on a splined hub. but that was not what you were asking."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

It isn't possible to make an adaptor that goes the other way ie centrelock rotor on six bolt hub as the mount on the 6 bolt hub sticks out too far. Adding an adaptor would put the rotor somewhere in the middle of the fork leg.0

Nope, that is to put a 6 bolt rotor on a centrelock hub.0

I bought a new XT 6 bolt rotor from CRC and it was delivered today, fitted it to wheel, swapped casette over and installed (I'd already fitted summer tyre).
The disc is rubbing quite badly on one side (wheel side pad), I didn't fit new pads as still got a bit of life left in the old ones. I removed wheel and eased the pistons back in to the caliper, re-fitted and squeezed the brake lever a few times. Brake is working fine, but rotor is still rubbing on the pad.
It's rideable, but how can I sort this? It's as if it needs a 1 - 2mm spacer between the disc & hub.
Cheers in advance, Paul.XC: Giant Anthem X

you need to re align the caliper."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Don't push the pads in. Just loosen the caliper, squeeze the brake and retighten.I don't do smileys.
