Steerer tube

Over the last 12 months as I have got used to road bikes I have started taking spacers out of the steerer tube for a lower bar position. I now have the spacers on top.
What's the perceived wisdom- should I cut the steerer tubes now or leave them in case I ever want to sell the F&F on?

Cheers

Cut it down - neater, tidier, saves weight, looks better. Don't worry about selling it on until you have to do.

If you do a google search, you could probably find some nice photos of injuries incurred by protruding steerer tubes making nice crescent shaped indentations in people's bodies as a consequence of a crash.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
