Hi all

My partner (a lady before you summise incorrectly!) has bought a Specialzed Secteur mens which obviously comes with a mans saddle. Does anyone have any good suggestions of a good price ladies saddle? As after a 30 miler yesterday the nether regions suffered a bit.......!

Ta in advance.
Cannondale Supersix 105 2013- summer bike - love it!
Cannondale CAAD12 - racing fun!
Trek Crockett 5 - CX bike, muddy fun!

I bought a Charge Ladle for my adult daughter, only £20 odd quid and she claims superbly comfortable

It depends on the lady; I have tried about 6 different saddles in 5 years. The Specialized Jett solved one problem, but was really hard and unforgiving on my ass, even after months of use.

Most women I know use Selle Italia saddles, I have the men's (women's saddles were too wide) Max Flite Gel Flow, the cutout is pretty big. Best saddle I have tried so far. Well worth the money.

The Charge saddle is supposed to be pretty comfy, good for a town bike I guess.

    "Saddle for a woman"

Could be a reasonable swap. Were you thinking of my saddle or my woman? :D

I have two spare saddles, one built for comfort, the other more racey - which would be the best swap for your woman?

I'll swap my woman for any saddle which is less of a pain in the arse than her. Selle Italia, Fizik, anything goes

If it helps I bought a Secteur and found the standard saddle very uncomfortable. I had a trip out to the nearest Specialized concept store where they measured me (you sit on memory foam) for a saddle and bought a BG Avatar Gel which I have found more comfortable than I thought possible. Based on this I'd recommend getting measured as the first step in getting comfy. Hope that helps.

My OH has been trying to find a saddle to fit me for years. We've always had to improvise with some straps and a blanket

    But seriously ...
I have a Selle Italia Diva SLR Something (rrp is about 100, but usually on offer somewhere for 70 or so) and it's great. No discomfort at all, even on 6hr+ rides.

Which is more than can be said for the blanket ...

+1 for the charge saddle. Both my daughter and wife use this. One on a mountain bike the other on a roadie. they both think its really great. Plus its only £20.
    SOLITUDE. It's not for everyone.

    A-ha !!! Glad I found this !!

My Mrs regularly cites her uncomfortable saddle as a reason not to come out for a gentle ride with me. She has an mtb with slicks, so isn't looking for anything flash, or light weight, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Which Charge saddle are people using ?

    Cheers.......... Matt

Frau Schweiz hated the Bontrager ladies saddle on her Trak and I ended up ordering one of these...

It looks a bit strange compared to a 'normal' saddle but she finds it comfortable (although as yet it's only been used indoors on the turbo)

There's also a money back guarantee if it's no good.
