hello all

i have an exposure race maxx 2 light and i cant praise it enough. we have a cycle to work window opening tomorrow and im tempted to upgrade and buy the maxx d. i know its coming up to summer, but our office only has 1 cycle to work scheme window per year.

will i notice much difference between the race maxx 2 and the maxx d?
is it worth upgrading?

thanks

:)

I thought the cycle to work scheme was for buying bikes, or bikes with accessories? Didn't think you could buy accessories on their own...?

After doing quite a bit of road cycling in the dark with a Maxx2 Race + a new Joystick (as a head torch) that I got for Crimbo, i did my first solo MTB night ride with them last week, in the woods, in the "proper" dark! Was really impressed with the output and couldn't see that a brighter light would actually make a huge amount of difference. Was all I needed.

  • i upgraded from the Race to the Maxx D when my race packed up. There is a tangible difference and if you ride on unlit roads you will appreciate it.

any idea how long the exposure lights last?
i bought my race maxx 2 a year ago and its been brilliant. wouldnt normally consider upgrading, but the scheme does give a substantial saving, and im going to be saving 30% on the bike as well!

Had a MaxxD for 3 winters now and it's still going strong.

Winter 2009/10 it developed a rattle - Exposure repaired and returned FOC within 3 working days.
