    I am looking at this ride for the same reason. Get myself in some sort of shape over the coming months, and having a target to aim at.
    For various reasons i have hardly been on the bike since last summer and am seriously unfit.
    Was looking to get myself a nice new carbon road bike, but think it could be a case of "shift some bulk, get fit and there is a nice little present at the end".
