Well after some debate and getting prices (£15 to install) i decided to spend the money and bought a BB tool from CRC to install a new GXP bracket. As my favourite LBS closed down and i thought "well it should be simple enough" i've jumped in to do the work myself.
Having read the Park Tools guide i rekon it should all be simple enough

as a heads-up the Park tools site does not cover the correct use of spacers for then GXP bracket.
it is 1 each side for a 68mm bb and one on the non drive side for a 73mm bb."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks for that. The plan happily is to take 1 off and put 1 back on so will just replicate how it currently is. But very good to know, thanks.Salsa Spearfish 29er
