man I feel awful. Went on a drinking session yesterday from 1:00-8:00pm, although I was in bed by 9:30 last night, I still feel shattered, not so much hungover but literally, I could shut my eyes and I would be asleep within 2 minutes.....

So, had a bath, and am about to sling some clothes on and leave for work in about 20 mins, hopefully I can get some shut eye on the train for half hour....

I hate being this tired, especially when I have a day full of MEH!!! ahead of me!!!

Big ride in the peaks after a couple of nights of broken sleep = very tired.

Didn't realise how tired until I rubbed my hours on the drive in and realised I had done 30 miles without my glasses

worst nights sleep ever. so uncomfortable. doesn't help that i can see my collar bone making a little tent shape when i lie down!

breakfast has consisted of painkillers and some lovely blueberry muffins my gf made.

gonna head into the office later to pick up my work laptop and some papers and stuff, i've only been up for an hour and i'm bored already, can't even play my bloody xbox!

actually, i can if i take my sling and brace off, but i reckon i should at least wait 24 hours before i start ignoring doctor's orders

@Yoohoo.. ouch, sucks you're off the new beast, heal quick mate :(

Morning gimps. Spent pretty much the whole weekend in the garden, sorting that out (it needed it!). Rode a little, still getting fitness up, meh, even a mile feels like a marathon at the moment! Also, took loads of pics of shiny spares to post up at some point (probably the weekend now..)

Today will suck. Stuck working with the one I hate, but have tomorrow arvo off for an interview, so studying the company tonight :D
  • Woke up with a massive headache that will surely be aided by a meh filled day staring down a microscope......

    Morning,
I hurt today, had an over the top moent, but no broken collar bone for me, did fall about 8foot though in to a stinking stream  I will do a diagram and post it up, so ridiculas!

Today should be quite quiet, off into central london for lunch and then back out to hide in the bunker until home time.
Spent all my bike bling money for this month so trying to stay away from online shops

    Greetings jarheads!

Well, I managed to enjoy about 4 hours of sleep before embarking on my 3 hour/160 mile drive from the Worst Midlands to the South East. All I did for the last hour was fight sleep on the M40/M25, man that's the worst. Fortunately I made it thanks to loud music, open windows and some chewing gum
I am now at the office making the best of a 4 shot large cappuccino, bliss...

Tonight I'm staying in Basignstoke and I will have a very early night... Meh!

    Good Morning Freaks!

Bit of a meh Monday morning feeling today. Had to take the train into work today as I'm working late and the underground storage gets locked at 19:00. :(

That said, the weather, which was forecast to be nice, is damp and overcast. Still rideable, but prefer the sunshine. Need to keep cranking up the mileage in preparation for HONC.

Busy day today, final H&S training starts tomorrow so I've got to catch up after last week plus make sure all's set for this.

Stonking weekend finished off with the largest piece of pork crackling ever witnessed in the spong household, the butchers vacuum pack all the bits trendy healthy eaters don't want and give it away.

    Good morning all!

Quite a bit of weariness on the forum this morning but I feel OK despite three intense days riding round Cannock it's like a drug.

Friday was just great - quiet, dry, sunny. Saturday afternoon was even better getting tangled up with the weekend warriors and the XCJs practising for Sunday's race.

Sunday afternoon was going great until I shoulder-charged a tree on Upper Cliff which spun me right round and sent me flying. Nice big bruise today but it doesn't hurt *whimper*

Me too, gonna keep up the running to loose a bit of weight as well as more riding, weekends ride was more technical than distance but it's all good.

Night ride tomorrow if all goes to plan.

    Morning biketards

Also had a lie in today, last chance really of the week, I shall now commence tidying the house.

Rode at Ladybower for the first time yesterday and it was brilliant, I loved every second of it, well not quite every second, as we misread the map and instructions and tried to ride up the downhill at Hagg Farm, but next time we know

Todays task will also include picking 300 notes worth of bike for Mrs G. she wants a new one, and doesnt want to spend loads as It'll be used only on fireroads bridleways and canal paths really, any suggestions?

Shes 5'7. Looking at a 16" max to be fair but cheers Andy. She borrowed my mates Speccy Rockhopper 17inch on saturday and with the saddle right down it looked just right, but she wanted to have it just that bit lower for now as the stretch to the floor unnerved her a bit. I'm thinking along the liones of a GT avalanche or maybe a decathlon jobby. Plus of she keeps on biking then I can always get her something better in the future as her skills and confidence increase

Maybe this, decent gearing and 27 of them which is a bonus at this end of the spectrum, and at least she can go and try it for size first
