response notification stops

For some reason, BR stops sending me an email to a thread that has had a response to it. If I visit and reply within the thread after the notifications have died off, I still do not get further notifications.
The check box for 'notify me' is ticked.
I gather that if you do not click the link within a notification email, no further notifications come your way, but after the first few (clicked and visited) I get nothing else.
Any ideas chaps? I keep coming across threads I've started with responses that I didn't know about.

I think since the forum crashed, the responses and searches fail with previous posts to the crash.
I am sure the tech heads are sorting it ;-)0 -
