i just found a very, erm 'interesting' bike on ebay.
it just seems really stupid, and i can see it going horribly wrong, or is it just me?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Giant-XTC-downhill-bike-excellent-condition-/120700454163?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item1c1a4ec513
it is originally a XC bike designed to use a 100mm travel fork

I think it looks ace and would have no concerns about it being a pig to ride or snapping in any way shape or form.
You should definately buy it!
Big sticks, no messtins, obvious!0 -

The listing has a reserve price and at the bottom of the listing he tells you the reserve price.
My bid of £201 hasn't won the auctionI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

i bet your heartbroken, i actually had to check if you bid on it lol
just wait till he realises he wont get what he wants for it, and removes the reserve, then you will win the auction!0 -
"my Beloved Giant XTC SE custom... its in brilliant condition used once since i bought it"
Used once because it is unrideable?
I wonder how often he rides bikes he doesn't like so much.Vitus Sentier VR+ (2018) GT Grade AL 105 (2016)

I don't know what you guys are on about; I think those long travel forks will make it ultra-nimble and not at all cumbersome or wallowy...0

it looks very similar to my bikes, i can't see what's wrong with it :?0

looks standard to me too, but surely that chainring at the front is going to spin out pretty quick going downhill :shock:0

I won't win the bike unfortunatelyEbay wrote:If a seller lowers the reserve below the high bidder's maximum bid, the high bidder's maximum bid will be lowered to £1.00 below the new reserve price. The seller's new reserve price will be revealed to the high bidder by email. This lets high bidders confirm they are still interested in the item.
So angry at this, gonna cryI've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
It's the wrong way round, it should have rigid forks, and 10" of rear suss, DUH!0

Man, loving the pristine paintwork and high end groupset on that super-duper-DH HT!
Seriously the bike should be tied to the Seller with string and limes then dumped in the ocean0 -
Not only is the geometry all wrong on that bike, the colour scheme and general build is rather, er, well... Personal.
For "personal", read "a bit crap".My "Bitsa": 7005 Alu h/tail, Marzocchi Bomber fork, Deore LX/XT/Acera trans, front: Mavic XC 717, XT hub, rear: On One Reetard, Planet X hub, Panaracer Fire XC Pro tyres, Cane Creek S6 h/set, Club Roost bars, Xero stem, Charge Spoon saddle.0 -
Step 1. Steal a bunch of bikes and swap parts over randomly
Step 2. ???
Step 3. Profit!!!0
