Thule roof bars Mk 4 golf for 29er?

Can any one please help i have Thule roof bars but the mounting studs built into the car inside the rear door fame that used to just fit my 26" bike are now too close together to take my longer 29er... Ive seen golfs with a mount nearer the back of the car but cant find it in listings.

    err - that shouldn't matter, the actual thule cycle carriers the wheel holders can be simply pushed further apart to accomade a longer wheel base bike. Takes seconds always have to rearrange the wheel holders between different bikes on the rack, my Spicy is a particulary long bike and there seems to be another few inches to spare at the rear of the mount if I needed them.

    Ah sorry i didn't explain myself very well... i use THULE roof bars but a different carry system where the rear wheel sits in a holder on the rear bar and the front forks (wheel out) goes in a q/r bracket on the front bar, which is why i need the rear bar further back... thank you for reply....
