Just had to post this (not normally like me).
My 9 year daughter spent the afternoon riding at Calshott velodrome and for only the 2nd time on a fixed wheel she managed to ride round on the red by the end of the session and she was buzzing about :-D

This is the stuff! Great to hear that you get a buzz out of seeing your daughter doing well on a velodrome.
Keep up the encouragement - you might have a future star on your hands!I’m a sprinter – I warmed up yesterday.0 -
Nothing wrong with being a proud dad mate!
It's great when kid's find an interest that they enjoy and even better if they can excel at it - nice one!_________________________________________________

Nothing wrong with being a proud dad - as long as they enjoy it, why shouldn't you be proud?
And a shared interest will help you close - even when she turns into a teenager :twisted:Already signed up for the following 2010 rides:
Etape Caledonia (May 16th)
AMR's Trossachs Ton (June 20th)
AMR's Cross-Border Sportive (Sept 19th)

Stick at it mate...
Coach the head not the legs and she will have a great time.

It's great to see kids getting interested in any sport, and I am simply stunned by the ability of many of them, so damn fast at such a young age!0
