Ridiculously excited! Just ordered my first road bike!

Well after weeks of deliberation :shock: , reading threads, failing ebay auctions and being scared that everything on sale in gumtree is hot :oops: , I've finally settled on a bike.

I went from a meagre budget of £150, which I now understand doesn't buy you in terms of much quality to £450. My friend recommended Bikeradar and wow, I didn't know anything about bikes (I still don't much!) but I started to identify which bikes are of better quality and after seeing it in a sale I went for a Cannondale CAAD8 Sora Triple (2010) for £450.

I just want to say thanks to bikeradar and the forum folk for your advice, I may not have written a "what bike should I buy thread", but the existing ones really helped shape what I should buy!

Now, I'm ridiculously excited :twisted: Mind you the easy part is over all I have to do is actually get into road riding and be able to cope with getting round an olympic triathlon in July!

I've just done the same thing - got a CAAD 8 2010 and it's ace, really pleased with it, also paid £450 (Evans price match)
