Done a few revisions: would update an older thread, but can't find one as this forums search engine is about as useful as as Fukushimas cooling systems.
Anyway, the old forks are being serviced, so have stuck on some Manitou Skarebs for now. Also added LX dual release shifters, RaceFext NEXT carbon bars, and Kooka Race stem. Is steep, light, and very fast.

Rear is an xtr, front a Xero cypress.0

Looks nice. I think I'll end up wit ha carbon Zaskar to replace my old beast when next years bonus comes.
You do need to get a proper sub woofer though0 -
Haha, that sub is ancient, but got it free with some mission speakers that my Dad gave me.0

Got some more new forks! Old Rebas, 115mm:
Sort of lie inbetween the Skarabs and Toras in travel, strength, weight and stiffness, but more adjustable. Handling seems to have hit that sweet spot, short test ride was good.0 -

This bad boy gets some action ;-)0

Nowt wrong with a bit of grubby action!0

To be honest, I haven't cleaned it, um, ever lol. The rain gets most the mud off!0

What wheels have you got on the bike? They look stunning. Looking for some new ones at the minute.
The bike looks cool too.0 -
Two different ones at the minute: XERO Cyprus on the front, XTR 965 on the rear. The XTR hub is a work of art!
Though that is the front lol.0 -
Liking the new forks.Whats next?2006 Giant XTC
2010 Giant Defy Advanced
2016 Boardman Pro 29er
2016 Pinnacle Lithium 4
2017 Canondale Supersix Evo0 -
how come you didn't service the forks yersell?0
-
I did service them lol. But need new orings for the air chambers, so am waiting on them.
Next, well I think she is complete now! Will drop 10mm off the stem I think and put the front XTR wheel back on, but then I will leave alone, as this really is the perfect bike for me.0 -
just checking lol.0

Excellent bike. I do like the carbon Zaskar frames. XTR hubs definitely are something special.0

Some new parts: superstar lock on grips, Shimano Pro Koryak bars, KCNC stem, XT shifters, XT cranks.
Needs a clean! Going 10 speed soon, with the new XTR rear mech. Will getbetter pics then.0 -
Liked the red bits I see!0

Ha, yeah the Lanai has the old stem and grips now! And I had some spare cable lol.
Was after a 90mm stem as earlier in the thread, so was ideal!0 -
