Snowdon this summer

First off, apologies if there was a recent topic on this but i have tired searching (only 1 topic came up) and used the search via google!

Anyway, i fancy riding snowdon this summer, from what i can gather it would be Llanberis up and the Ranger's path down?

I've got a steel 120mm hardtail and would fancy doing this route on a full suss so i'm not battered to bits and preferably hiring one, but may be sorting a second hand bike. who knows...!

so with regards to hiring, is there a decent bike shop near snowdon that does hire?

I might be wrong but I thought bikes were frowned on between May and September on Snowdon?

yeah from what i understood we were only meant to be on snowdon in walking off season september - may?

Why not push up from 3pm-ish then by the time you get to the top it will be after 5pm but still light enough to ride down?
