Filtering Friday on the A2

Just a bit of advance warning for anybody coming back from town along the A2 - TfL have decided that a wet Friday rush hour would be a good time to dig a hole in the Greenwich High Road/Blackheath Road junction. All traffic is being forced into one alternating single lane. If you're not happy with extreme filtering I'd stop for a couple of drinks after work in town - because it's at a standstill now...

yep, absolute chaos carnage and jammed up anywhere close to the junction...seems you can't even turn into where I live now either. lets hope they do a rush job and its finished by Sunday, whatever they're doing - anyone know what they're doing? I think they should add some street furniture in the middle of the junction, make it just that biut more difficult to get across the junction, maybe a F1 style chicane. that'd be a bit more fun than it is now.
ps. couldn't for the life of me spell chicane, had to look it up, brain cells are dying...doh!0
