Garmin 800 with Quarq PM

Hi, I can't seem to get either mine nor my Dad's Garmin 800 to find my Quarq when I scan for an ANT+ pm. The Quarq and my Garmin are brand new, I installed the crank as instructed with the magnet ring in the 9 o'clock position. When I click on "bike setting->ant+ power->re-scan" the Garmin just goes back a page and doesn't do anything.

Any ideas?

    Change the battery in the Quarq, even though it is brand new it might have been in the store room at the shop for a while. Also make sure the garmin has the latest version of software as well.

    latest version and new battery...still nothing.

    Between this and your TTF post replies, I'd say you're having sod of a time with the Quarq/Garmin.
    Hope you resolve it soon, 'cos I know how frustrating it is, to want to try new kit...
