Hey people, off to Swinley forest for the first time this weeekend.

Just wondering which tyres to take, out of High Rollers, Nobby Nics and Racing Ralphs - got one of each. Recentley my local traill in southampton is usely dead boggy, but in the past week with the weather being so good its nearly all dry. So will Swinley be te same.

Thanks for reading.

Yes should be nice and dry although it is chucking it down here at the mo so it might be a little damp in places

Swinley doesn't dry out well I find, but if it's been dry for a couple of weeks it's probably not too bad. Heavy downpours can turn parts of it into a swamp quick.

Also the maintenance they have done on some of the dedicated trails was suffering badly from being ridden shortly after the fresh yellow stuff was laid down and it rained a lot. Result was it was very sticky and slow. That was three weeks ago though.

Anyway, normally with Swinley when it's not too wet you don't need big nobbly tyres or DH stuff. It's mostly XC motorway trails. Even the official "extreme" (which is nothing of the sort) stuff around Labyrinth is smooth. Some of the unofficial DHilly bits can be bit more loose, but there's not much of it.
