Morning all!
Today promises little and will no doubt deliver less, will spend most of it trying to recover from yesterdays excesses, and doing as little as possible.
Saturday tomorrow0 -
Good Morning!
I've woken up today feeling less crappy than the last few days. Working a 12 hour shift today, got my red nose out to wear. Roll on 9pm.
Going to my first ever spa day tomorrow!0 -
who ordered the snow?

I have "nosed up my clothes" with one of the small pin badges.
Got soaked on the commute in this morning, but for some reason my average speed was a tad quicker. Considering it's Friday and I've ridden every day and there was a headwind, not sure why. Perhaps it was the two meat & potato pies (with chips) I had for dinner last night that are making me faster.
*goes off to eat more pies*
More finance related fun and frivolity today, trying to get everything signed, sealed and delivered before the end of the (financial) year.
Hopefully the rain will have cleared up by going home time as I've some fettling to do and I'd rather get it done tonight than have to do it tomorrow, when there's a window of opportunity for a ride...

Morning crudders
I've got in to the office early this morning so I can ditch work early too, can't be arsed with working late on a Friday. Still got got a persistent cough and cold bug which I'm trying to nuke with cough sweets this morning in the vain hope that I might be ok to ride tomorrow morning.

Morning all,
Boss back from holiday on Monday, so today will be mostly spent making sure work stuffs is tidied up so it at least looks like I’ve been busy working the last couple of weeks.
Off out on the bike with wifey tomorrow, so will only be a casual spin. But foot isn’t really better anyway so couldn’t go for a proper blast. Have got doctors appointment next week to see what’s wrong with it so will be heading out the night before to try and bugger it up again. I can walk on it ok at the moment and my experience with GP’s is that if you can walk into their office they think there’s nothing wrong with you, so I need to make sure it hurts like a goodun.
Sunday me and wifey are off out again for some 2 wheeled action, but this time of the wheels side by side us standing on top variety. Segway rally me up!El Capitano wrote:Is it Coffee o'clock yet?
It’s absolutely coffee O’clock, plus due to EU regulations messing with our lives and changing time zones for everything, biscuit /cake/pie O’clock has now been brought in line with coffee O’clock.

God bless the EU. I have just consumed a rather large latte (with extra shot) and have acquired a nice pair of pork pies, which wont see the morning out...0 -

You can't just mention pork pie's randomly in a thread without warning, you've just made a bunch of people disgruntled due to their pork pie deficit. Very inconsiderate, if you ask me.0

Morning biketards, after half building the Mojo last night, I gave into tiredness around 1 o'clock this morning, so first task after work this morning is to get the thing finished and rideable so I've got a day or so to get used to it before going to bannock on Sunday, should be a blast got a shit load of work to do though and I've been ordered to sort out my student finance stuff, all of which is interfereing with bike build time0

Morning all, last night I had an idea, a really stupid one. Last night I decided to give up lent for the duration of lent.
This enabled me to get completely wankered and not feel guilty. Went to celebrate St. Patricks Day at an irish bar near kings X, this was followed by pub crawling back through Camden, this failed after we hit the uni bar and remembered it was cheap and there was a £45 tab behind the bar for us to spend.
Not going to uni today because it's finished pretty much, last class of the term is in 5 minutes and I'm only just awake, plus its a 20 minute walk down there and I'm hungry.
Anyway I'm packing to go home for 6 weeks, got 2 weeks of lambing to look forward to and lots of time to play bikes.0 -
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
I had the perfect weekend planned. Cancelled a meeting in Glasgow so that I could be at home this weekend to get out on my bike.
The Cove is now pretty much finished, just the rear mech to go on, which I was going to do tomorrow morning, then hike up Ingleborough and Pen y Gent, do some proper "mountain" DH.
So I called up the insurance company today to add the bike to my policy. They've said it's no problem but it has to be referred to a different department because of the value..........and they might not be able to get back to me for 72 hours!!!!!
I would be pretty much suicidal if I managed to lose the bike tomorrow before it's covered, but I'm also going to be pretty much suicidal just looking at it in the house but unable to ride it.
Please, please, please call me back today nice insurance people0 -

Morning.. I'm mostly going to be hating Lawman today.. very jealous of this build.
Other than that, I have roughly my body weight in cake sitting on my desk, comic relief is pretty good!
Plans for the weekend, are to clean up and take some pics of my spares, and think about putting them on here for funds towards a new frame. I'm thinking of going back to HT, and have always fancied a SC Chameleon.
Also, I'm able to ride again now, after 3 months off, so shall try to make the most of the weekend by getting out on a gentle mooch, see how the body holds up!
Happy friday people!

On a Coffee note, had to stop at tesco's this morning, there Cappachino Coffee nation with a cramal shot is bleeding awesome!
That is all.0 -
After a baked cheese induced nightmare filled night, a meh free friday in the spong household.
House is sold, offer on new one's been accepted, mortgage is sorted, funds are available for a 10x18ft cabin/office/man cave, wife's allotment has come through, the sponglets are still working as well at school as children in the year or in some cases two years above them. On the way are more Hasegawa kits. Plus on the bike front the inbred is being rather awsome at the minute with the DD Racing Ralphs fitted, but will be even more awsomer when the KCNC bars turn up to match the stem also allowing me to fit the KCNC foam grips.
Bacon, cake, pie and coffee has been consumed so far!Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.
Who are you calling inbred?0 -

Now it's paid for and on the way, I am happy to confirm I've (finally) bought a Bionicon Edison after wanting one for as long as I can remember but always ending up buying something else.
Much thanks goes to Sheeps for answering the various questions I had.
Not going bonkers with this one like I did with the Mmmbop, it's not the sort of bike that suits loads of bling imo. Got some bits and pieces to replace some of the standard kit to make it more to my liking, and that'll do.
Pics in the relevant forum when it arrives.0 -

Nice. You really have bought a gem, if you need any extra ideas/help with anything let me know and I will be happy to help too. Also don't be at all afraid of calling/emailing Roger at Bionicon - thoroughly excellent guy.0
