Gear shifters

New will

Hi.
need some new shifters for my bike, i'm not a hardcore rider, just want something that is ok.
the old shifters i had were real cheap ones and they were fixed on the break lever. is that the way with all or do you fix break lever and shifter on to the handle bar seperately??
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Cheers

you will need to get a set of shifters with the same number of gears and also the same make.
most clamp onto the bars separately so new brake levers may be required."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hi

You should look on eBay. Seems many are upgrading to 10-speed and there's a lot of 9-speed stuff for sale at the moment and you can pick up some bargains. I got some new SRAM shifters at a bargain price. So look what Shimano stuff is available.0
