my old fizik cleaned up ok and it stayed white enough for my liking. i ordered a black one and got sent a white and went with it, and the gradual brown staining didn't bother me.

I've also got a white fizik, not brilliant to be honest.

If you want it looking perfect for longer I'd stick with black. It's not really the dirt, more the scrapes and scratches.

Hmmm, white saddles fall into my category of thing that look nice but I would just ruin (like white grips, or white MTB shoes - I have some and they lasted about 2 weeks) :(

Nice to look at, but not for me i'm afraid!

White turns to crap on a bike just like on a car.

But white on a mountain bike still looks good when it's dirty, unless you're some sort of concours lunatic anyway. I mean look:

That's a bike that knows it's been ridden. Also a saddle that looks like someone took a crap on it.

  • I've had a couple of white saddles now, never had any problems cleaning them. They always seem to go back to white. They were not fabric ones though, which obviously makes a big difference.
