Hello! Specialized Hardrock build in progress

Hi folks,
Just signed up this evening and have recently returned to cycling after an absence of at least 10-12 years. Just now I'm making use of my little brothers old Y Frame, but it's nothing special so me and a mate have decided to build a new bike from the Frame up.
After a bit of thinking, and based on the fact he's already built one, I've won an old Specialized Hardrock frame off of ebay.
It's not the nicest looking, but who's gonna notice when it's flying on. Plans are for a simple build, mostly Shimano Deore parts (brakes, levers etc) Not thinking of spraying the frame, not just now anyway. Ideally I'd like this build complete in time for whatever summer we get up here!
Will update this as and when the build get's going. Still quite a few parts to source before we launch into the build!
