gonna build my own bike for use as second bike and also for the wife to use, have a Whyte 19 trail 2010 which is awesome, looked at chameleon's, on one scandals, Saracen Zen and also Handsome Dogs, would probably use on real muddy days and for winter road work/ fitness, any suggestions ?

    As an indication, my MTB has cost me less than £300 to put together, brief summary is
    Carrera Kraken frame
    Deore/X7 shifters
    XT rear, LX front mechs
    Deore cranks and Trushift chainwheels with a bash
    Juicy5 brakes
    M475 hubs with Alex rims
    RST single air forks with adjustable damping
    Carbon seatpost and Charge spoon saddle shared with my commuter

    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
